Kathleen & David at Sea Cliff Manor

Kathleen & David May 11, 2019

Kathleen and David met through mutual friends at Fairfield University back in 2010.  The night they met, Kathleen’s number ended up in David’s phone.  They got to know each other over the next 6 months and made their relationship official on May 1, 2011.  Their educational pursuits took their relationship from Connecticut to New York to Philadelphia to Boston where they now live.

During the Christmas season in 2017 David decided to propose to Kathleen.  It was after their annual “dinner and a show,” a tradition they have kept up since their first Christmas together, when Dave finally asked Kathleen to marry him.  It was a beautiful, crisp winter night walking through the Boston Gardens.

In the couple’s own words, “Our Wedding day was absolutely perfect!  We would not have changed a single thing about the day.  From the morning getting ready, to the ceremony at Maria Regina, to the pictures we took at Cedarmere, to the reception at Sea Cliff Manor, the day was purely magical. We felt like we were on cloud nine, and our only complaint was that the day went by too quickly!  Even the parts of the day we could not control, for example, the weather, did not disappoint.  The sun was shining the whole day!  There were a few raindrops at the end of night, but this actually made for beautiful photos! We are so grateful that Mike at The Glenmar Studio was able to capture this perfect day.  Looking through the pictures, we realize how many of the beautiful moments he captured and we are so appreciative that we will have these images to cherish forever.

We wish Kathleen and David nothing but the best and hope they continue their “dinner and a show” tradition until they’re old and gray!

Dana & P.J. March 23, 2019

Dana and P.J. met their freshman year at Syracuse University back in 2010.  Their first meeting was brief, but unforgettable.  By sophomore year they ended up in a class together which allowed them to work on an assignment together followed by a Halloween party a few days later.  It wasn’t until they ended up handcuffed together (someone lost the key) at that Halloween party that kept them together and they never looked back.

P.J. knew family was one of the most important things in Dana’s life.  So when it came to the proposal, he made sure both their families were present for the momentous occasion.  What started as a big family photo ended up turning into separate couples photos where PJ took the opportunity to get down on one knee.  The rest is history.

Dana and P.J. describe their wedding day as one of the best days of their lives.  Being surrounded by all of their family and friends and so much love and support.  They are incredibly thankful to have had everyone there to witness the start of their new lives together.

Congratulations Dana & P.J.  We’re so grateful to have been part of your day!

Lisa & Greg at Garden City Hotel

Lisa & Greg February 2,2019

Lisa and Greg’s wedding was pure elegance.  It started at Lisa’s parent’s house for wedding prep where she was surrounded by family and friends, family that had traveled all the way from Italy for the big day.  It then moved to the historical St. Brigid’s Catholic Church in Westbury, a church that has been around since 1916.  After their charming wedding mass, we proceeded to the iconic Garden City Hotel.

Greg and Lisa were one of those lucky couples that had the opportunity of meeting at work.  They both work for a HR company with offices all over the country, but ended up together at the Manhattan office.  After a few years of dating, Greg decided to pop the question.  On Christmas Eve, he surprised her with an early gift that happened to be a pair of monogrammed pajamas with what would be her new initials.  Lisa was stunned at first since she thought he would never propose, but quickly caught on to what was actually happening!

Lisa and Greg describe their wedding day as “absolute perfection” with the exception of how quickly it flew by.  They say there was not a single thing they would have changed about it.  Greg explained, “My wife looked beautiful and it was the perfect emphasis on an overall beautiful day.  People are still talking about it, and we really were so incredibly blessed.  Glenmar did a tremendous job helping us capture the fleeting beauty and we are incredibly thankful.”

We promise we didn’t bribe them to say that last part!

Congratulations Lisa and Greg!  We are honored to have been a part of your day!

Sarah & Evan at Glen Cove Mansion

Sarah & Evan September 2, 2018

When we asked Sarah and Evan to answer a few questions to help us write a blog about their wedding, they came back with such beautifully written perfection.  We couldn’t find it in us to change a single word.  Here is what they wrote about how they met, their proposal and their spectacular wedding day.

Sarah was an angel - a truly radiant angel. And Evan was a young, hotshot cowboy... it was Halloween, by the way. Just a couple of New York University college students finding love by accident and sharing a brief "Hi, nice to meet you," before getting swept away by their respective friends at the crowded party. The next day, Evan took a chance and sent Sarah a message to try to get to know more about her than just her name. After exchanging messages back and forth for nearly 6 hours that day, Evan invited Sarah to meet his roommate's puppy that night, and they never looked back.

Evan anticipated a beautiful spring day in late April for his and Sarah’s first picnic of the season. On the date of choice, they awoke to an unexpectedly rainy day. Despite that Evan hates the rain, he insisted upon keeping their picnic plans, as the ring was burning a hole in his pocket and he just couldn’t wait any longer. Sarah was a bit confused as to why Evan was firmly insisting that they keep their picnic plans in the inclement weather, but she went along with it anyway. By the time they arrived at Carl Schurz Park, the rain had lightened up to just a mist and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, creating a beautiful backdrop for the big moment. Evan presented a scrapbook commemorating the five years of their relationship, the last page of which displayed caricatures of Evan down on one knee, proposing to Sarah. Sarah then put the book down to find real-life Evan down on one knee! After allowing Sarah a few moments to sob, Evan confirmed that Sarah accepted his proposal and they popped some bubbly, ate some cheese, and were too elated to even notice the drizzle around them anymore.

The wedding day was truly a dream come true! Rain was supposed to ruin another special, momentous day for them, but thankfully, they were graced with a gorgeous summer day. The ceremony felt like a fairy tale, complemented by sunny skies, friends and family, and floral arrangements that perfectly fulfilled Sarah’s vision. The reception was equally stunning and unforgettable, from their Foo Fighters first dance, to the cotton candy-filled finale, and everything in between.

It was a day filled with so much love and joy, and we truly would not change a thing!

Congratulations Sarah & Evan, and thanks for doing my writing work for me!

Marisa & Jeremy at Woodbury Jewish Center

Marisa & Jeremy     March 3, 2018

Marisa & Jeremy met at Syracuse University but did not start dating until after they both graduated and Marisa was worn down by Jeremy’s persistence.  After a few years of dating, Jeremy proposed to Marisa atop one of Yosemite National Park’s mountains complete with a private chef dinner and photo shoot to capture the special moment.  Jeremy then surprised Marisa further by having their friends and family surprise Marisa to celebrate their engagement back home after their trip.

Marisa describes their wedding as the best day of their lives.  Despite the Nor’easter that threatened the area the day before, they were calm, cool and collected on their big day.  They truly soaked up every second of their wedding from the early morning of getting ready until their very last song during their wild Syracuse themed after party.

“We did not stress any small detail and we made our main focus on having fun and enjoying ourselves.  We had an unbelievable team to work with the day of our wedding and we couldn’t have done it without them!”  Marisa & Jeremy

Congratulations to this amazing couple!
